My life changed from that day on because I realized when you lose just one parent, it feels like your world has come to an end. I never looked at my mother, single parents or widows the same way since. My heart’s desire is to open up a safe haven for such kids to call home. If you still have one of your parents, please appreciate him/her because you still have it better than some of the kids in an orphanage. Inspiration for me really comes from several different aspects: physical, emotional, and spiritual. I am inspired by people who despite their physical deprivation are capable of standing up against injustice by voicing their rights and "walking the walk." They make themselves more of an asset for they do. It is through believing in themselves that they benefit their country.
